June 29 2020 - Update on Shielding patients :  Vulnerable persons Covid 19

The surgery has telephone triage set up for all appointments during the coronavirus outbreak. All appointment requests will have a telephone triage first and patients invited to surgery by GP as need. Patients with Coronavirus symptoms are requested to follow isolation advice.

During this time we will accept prescription requests over the phone and patients are requested to nominate a pharmacy near their residence to collect prescriptions from.

The list of patients advised to SELF ISOLATE for 12 weeks due to increased list and are supposed to be shielded and extremely vulnerable is:

This includes people who:

  • have had an organ transplant
  • are having certain types of cancer treatment
  • have blood or bone marrow cancer, such as leukaemia
  • have a severe lung condition, such as cystic fibrosis or severe asthma
  • have a condition or are taking medicine that makes them much more likely to get infections
  • are pregnant and have a serious heart condition
